House of Ayla is named after the Turkish word Ayla (eye-la) - the luminous glow that surrounds the moon. Rooted in my Turkish-Cypriot heritage, the name embodies a quiet radiance: a light that never demands attention, but softly reveals what would otherwise remain unseen.

I have always been drawn towards the meeting place between science and tradition.

My background in nutritional medicine taught me to understand the body.

Breathwork taught me to understand the mind.

Ritual taught me how to bring them together.

House of Ayla offers an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and honour beauty through scent, nature, and intention. Through thoughtfully crafted ritual oils, educational resources, and practices rooted in both evidence and tradition, We hope to inspire a more conscious way of living— one that embraces slowness, cultivates presence, and finds beauty in the mundane.

Founded by Ayesha Basel, a qualified nutritionist and breathwork facilitator, House of Ayla brings together the worlds of nutritional medicine, herbal wisdom, ritual, and natural perfumery to create moments of presence in everyday life.

A house where perfumery, tea, ritual, philosophy and nature meet.

We honour the body's innate intelligence to heal, restore and remember.

We want to make nutrition accessible to every level of awareness. It’s your basic human right, we hear you, we understand that everything is built out of convenience these days and you can have everything on your door step with the click of a button. We challenge that, and we challenge you to BE inconvenient. It doesn’t have to be expensive, and it doesn’t have to be difficult. Take back your ability to forage, learn, connect, grow, cook, walk and more importantly, care again.
